burning man. 2013 the veteran year


13 hour run. we got out at 6am. i even was too excited to sleep so I woke early [4am].
It was a long haul, but ryan and me in a truck doesnt make for a bad road trip. 

saturday. early arrival
still had 4 hour wait. hit line by 7 in by 11. ryan was already stoked and was rocking a kings crown. king was born.  entrave party was great. met live gangsta i. line.
no one home. they rolled in as we unloaded.
slept in the dome that night. ryan built the whale.

sunday
morning  came 
the construction of the gypsy tent began and the circus was built.
sunday and monday blurred together as we explored the playa. alot of mods for the bike this year. had plans to motorize the war machine this year. that fell thru and i ended uo building an entire bike around the gas engine. had an old beach cruiser and almost brought it to the playa. but a tiny engine in a place where i consume so much dust.. its hard enough to keep a single gear bmx with no extras running for the whole week is enough of a challenge.  the war machine returned. this time with a light up tail beacon and a bannana seat.  had the battery for the ooga horn and used it to run a headlight. it caught a wire on fire when the switch grounded to the frame.. when it did it again in brc the light came off and a spare solar light returned to its mantle  .

ryan found a trike in bend. we built a chair into it as well as a shade awning.  that we found out on the open playa worked better as a windsail





monday

tuesday
 frozen bananas.  Lucy.  bronx bike theivery and funk dancing. met her aussie crew. george. came back and got painted. then she caught an art car and i never saw her again

thunderdome again. raggedy dust andy. white party. at dancernauts at control tower. crazy french. found funky yurt. electric butthole.


thursday. effigy burning. roaming abouy.old locales. nrw things and prople all over. martini bar. duckpond. sharing mugicha and avacodo. sharing stories of new discoveries on the Playa.  or out :n the world
after brit and i ran from the mir burn to the smash party .. danced on a treefort. she got cold. went for clothes.  phuture primitive. next door was neuro driver. 

more fires. candy?  hey man, says the beirdo. i dont want this... ok, stuff it in your ass. 
aussie biker awaited me at another fire.
